A weekly prayer meeting for pastor's - Every
wednesday morning at 7:30 A.M.
As a result of the unity which God has so graciously begun to work in us over the course of the past year (2005-06) Cry for Awakening will begin a weekly pastor’s/leadership prayer meeting.
We believe that this development is an expression of God’s grace upon His people for the purpose of raising up a unified voice of intercession. We believe that this unified voice of prayer is necessary because circumstances are desperate in the American church, and in particular in Essex County, New Jersey. (click for more information on the American Church) When God spoke to Solomon in II Chronicles 7, He prefaced his promise with these words: “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people...” The promise of renewal by the Lord is spoken in the context of the people of God recognizing the lack of rain, and general conditions of fruitlessness as signals that we must seek the Lord for relief. It is then that the promise makes sense: “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Our modest offering is an attempt to gather leaders in this county together to seek the Lord. We are not special, or important. But God has granted us a measure of understanding about the necessity of prayer as part of the work which God can do, wants to do and we believe will do if He is asked.
Therefore we warmly invite any pastor or church leader to join us. We will be meeting every Wednesday morning at 7:30 A.M. at West Essex Baptist Church. Click the button below for directions to the church.
